Our Programs
Every program we offer is designed around the whole woman — not just her hair.
PIECES offers virtual talks and in-person community events on the topics that matter most to women living with alopecia: the medical facts, the emotional impact, the dietary and physical health connections, and the mental health journey. We have partnered with the Columbia Public Library system and community health organizations to bring these conversations to women across the Midlands.
Our goal is simple: no woman should have to Google her diagnosis alone.
Education & Awareness
Our private Facebook community is a safe space for women living with alopecia and hair loss to speak freely — without fear of judgment, unsolicited advice, or unwanted sales pitches. Membership is by request only to protect the privacy and dignity of our members.
To inquire about joining, send us a direct message on Facebook or Instagram. We will reach out personally.
Community Support
The BeYOUtiFULL Project
Once a year, PIECES hosts the BeYOUtiFULL Project — an annual fundraising campaign and women's empowerment experience that celebrates the resilience, beauty, and stories of women living with alopecia. Ambassadors are photographed, and at the BeYOUtiFULL Project brunch, they unveil their portraits and share what the experience meant to them.
It is part fundraiser, part celebration, and entirely transformative.

This event is open to all women ages 18 to 65+ and provides a wholistic approach to health and wellness. There are experts in the field of mental health, Black Maternal Health, Cardiac Care and much more. This expo provides education, light medical care, as well as a networking component, allowing community-based organizations to connect. PIECES initially hosted this event in 2019 and were thrilled to bring this back to Columbia in 2026.
